Many companies and organizations today use the ISO 14001 environmental management standard to manage environmental impacts towards lower resource consumption and reduced environmental impact. The environmental management system is also an important tool for management to ensure an overview of the company's environmental performance. 

Energy management is implicit in the context of the standard, so companies with energy audit requirements can benefit from integrating energy management into the existing environmental management system. The requirement for this is that the company must implement the requirement element of an energy audit in accordance with ISO 50001 at re-certification. The company avoids having to carry out an energy audit every 4 years. 

The course covers the fundamentals of ISO 50001:2018 and the principles behind building an effective energy management system and how it can be linked to ISO 14001:2015.

The main focus of the course is on energy auditing and the requirements associated with it. You will gain a basic knowledge of energy management, energy review, baseline, etc. according to ISO 50001:2018 and will be able to audit the ISO 50001:2018 energy management system.

The course is based on interactive learning and requires active participation from the students. 

This course is for those who are already Lead Auditor in ISO 14001 and who want Lead Auditor training in energy management according to ISO 50001:2018. You must be able to present a diploma for acquired Lead Auditor training
